Safety Features of Cars

When you are driving a car or any vehicle, you have to be careful and adhere to traffic rules to save yourself and others too who are on the road. A small carelessness can lead to a disastrous accident and you may lose your life. We can avoid some of the most dangerous road accidents just by some innovative car gadgets and additions. When it comes to safety feature in a car then the inflatable air bag is one must feature that protects the driver from direct impact with the steering wheel. The mechanism by which an inflatable air bag works with is the front of the car is connected to the activator and when a certain amount of pressure is exerted onto this activator the air bag instantly inflates into the face of the car driver. This action has to happen instantly otherwise the physical impact might get to the driver before the air bag has enough time to provide a cushioning for the blow to the driver.

Another car safety concern area is the blowing of tires. Suppose you are driving a car at a very high speed and a tire suddenly blows or gets punctured then it can cause a huge instability and that may result that the vehicle do a barrel roll or at the very least cause the driver to lose control and this may lead to a collision with the another vehicle on the road. One safety feature that has been developed to combat such a problem is a tire that can inflate itself almost as quickly as it becomes deflated. This is a patented technology but cannot be a complete alternative to this problem.

There have been several designs developed with this mechanism but the materials and price of the mechanism for this technology to be put in use cost is too much for the average car owners. Therefore, it is a very unpopular safety feature or addition for drivers to make their car safe. This mechanism is basically a balance between the amounts of safety it provides compared to the price that it costs.
